Josh, Jess and Abigail.

I have always marvelled at women who have to be pregnant at this time of year, in this heat.  Carrying that extra weight, the extra pressure, the extra warmth… It somewhat frightens me.

Well, that was dear Jessica this time last year.  Fully pregnant with her little girl (who was still a mystery at that time… though I always thought she’d be a girl), in the hottest part of the summer.  Luckily for Jess, having grown up in Mexico, worked in her favour.  I think she handled it much better than some of us born-Canadian girls, but it was undeniably uncomfortable.

But look!  All of that is so far in the past it seems, now that sweet Abigail is almost one year old!  What a special milestone.  What a great thing to celebrate.  I am so glad they chose to document this time in their lives through some family portraits.
